Dinner on Us
Want to spend some time with your BEAM friends in a smaller group eating and chatting? Want to go out to a restaurant and get to know a few other BEAM alums? Want to have BEAM foot the bill?
Sign up in groups of 3-5 for the Dinner-on-Us Program to get $20 each to dine at a restaurant of your choosing! Sign-ups take place at the picnics, and at least one member of your group must be present at the picnic to sign up.
How to Sign Up
Before or during the picnic: Organize a group of 3-5 BEAM alumni who want to go out to eat together. Choose a restaurant and set a date and time for your meal. Make sure at least one of you is coming to the next picnic.

At the picnic: At least one member of the group must be present at the picnic to sign up. We will have a brief form for you to fill out with the names of your group members, the restaurant you want to go to, and when you’re planning to go.
That’s it! From here, Diya will take care of the rest!
Getting the Money & Going to Dinner
After the picnic, Diya will email a digital gift card in the amount of ($20)x(size of your group) to the restaurant you listed to the person who filled out the form.
You are responsible for any cost exceeding the value of your gift card.
Please send Diya a photo of your receipt and have each member of the group write their names on the back. You can email it to Diya or text it to them at (917) 473-9353.

Also, please send us pictures of your group at dinner! We really want to see you enjoying your time together.
Questions & Answers
Q: Other than signing up, what do we need to do?
A: Please send a picture of your receipt with the signatures of each BEAM alum in your group to Diya. We would also love it if you took some pictures together at the restaurant and sent them to us! Besides that, just enjoy your meal together!

Q: What if some of the info we wrote down on the signup form changes?
A: Just let Diya know! In most cases, this will be totally fine. However, if your gift card is for a specific restaurant, it can’t be transferred elsewhere.

Q: What if the restaurant we want to go to doesn’t do digital gift cards?
A: We have plans to work around this. However, please make sure the restaurant isn’t cash-only.

Q: What if I want to participate but don’t have anyone to go with?
A: Ask some of the other students at the picnic if they’d like to join you or let Diya know and they'll try to match you with others who want to participate.

Q: It’s called “Dinner-on-Us” but what if we want to go out for lunch instead?
A: That’s fine! Breakfast, brunch, dessert, all fine!

Q: I can’t make it to the picnics but I still want to participate. What should I do?
A: Sign-ups only happen at the picnics, so you must find a group member who can make it to one of the picnics if you can’t make it. Let Diya know if you need help connecting.
